BiobiN® is a mobile, on-site organic/wet material management solution that starts the composting process and effectively manages odour from putrescible waste.
Too Good To Waste
BiobiN® is a mobile, on-site organic/wet material management solution that starts the composting process and effectively manages odour from putrescible waste.
What is BiobiN®
BiobiN® is an on-site, capture and containment system used for organic material processing (starting the composting process) in an odour-free, easily accessible vessel.
The patented BiobiN® aeration system initiates a composting process of organic material, reducing bacteria and other pathogens.
The composting process also maximises the amount of organic material that can be collected by the BiobiN®.
Once collected, the processed or partially processed organic material can be added to products such as soil conditioners, compost and biofuels – providing a valuable supply of nutrients, carbon and organic matter to agricultural soils, landscape supplies and alternative fuels.
BiobiN® is providing a solution for organic and wet materials in Australiasia, North America, Middle East, Japan, China and India.

BiobiN® is the most efficient and effective method for managing food and organic waste
1 TON OF FOOD IN A BIOBIN® IS 1 CAR’S YEARLY IMPACT REMOVED FROM THE ENVIRONMENT.
Vegetable and Fruit, Leaves
Meat & Bones
High oil and salt foods
Agricultural straw
Papers
Compostable packaging
INDUCE AIR
The BiobiN® uses forcefully inducted air to start the composting process of food and organic waste
ADD CARBON
The food and organic waste is thoroughly mixed with carbon (woodchips and/or sawdust) and by using the patented bio filter process, which starts the composting process
REMOVE MOISTURE
The condenser removes excess moisture from the system and the bio filter removes the odours
No chemicals are needed, nor any sort of microbes, that would have been necessary with other in-vessel composting systems, making it the easiest and most cost effective on-site wet waste management system
Compost,
is nature’s magic.
BIOBIN®’S IMPACT
The School of Animal and Veterinary Science at the University of Adelaide are now utilising BiobiN® technology to compost waste from the labs at the Roseworthy Campus. This project was made possible through the Office of Sustainability’s Green Project Fund.
BiobiN is a biofiltration system that works in conjunction with specially designed Wastequip containers to capture odor, eliminate the attraction of pests and reduce collection frequency.
BiobiN®’s interview with ABC’s “Landline” program.
The simple answer to this questions is no, the BiobiN® doesn’t smell. As long as the simple housekeeping rules are followed;
1. Manage your wet:dry ratio’s.
2. Don’t leave the lid open
3. Undertake routine checks
The idea of the BiobiN® is that it commences processing on-site and only requires to be emptied when it’s full; which maximizes transport efficiencies. This time frame can vary between locations and uses and can be as often as every week or as long as a year. Your BiobiN technologist can determine when yours will need emptying.
Weekly draining of condensate, commonly done by the customer.
Monthly system checks for leaks, cracks, etc., twice-yearly filter cartridge changes, and annual biofilter media changes, are commonly undertaken by the service provider but can be undertaken by the customer.
The system runs for approximately half of each day, i.e. 12 hours, and consumes approx. 8 kWh in each 24-hour period.
At RMB 0.65 per kWh, the daily cost of electricity using BiobiN® is approximately RMB 7.8.
